April 15, Juche 1 (1912) is the historic day when the sun of Juche rose and the glorious day when the Korean people met great good luck for the first time in the 5000-year history of the nation, the editorials say.

President Kim Il Sung is an outstanding leader and peerless patriot who founded the immortal Juche idea and thoroughly applied it to perform undying exploits before the country and people, Rodong Sinmun says, adding:

He turned the history of national distress, which had been dark with subservience to great powers and national ruin, into the history of national prosperity under the banner of Juche and opened up a bright prospect of socialist Korea. He is the sun of the nation and benefactor for all ages.

In the whole period of his revolutionary leadership, he firmly adhered to the independent revolutionary line in all fields of politics, economy, military affairs, culture and external relations.

To believe in the people as in Heaven was his lifelong motto.

He definitely regarded the self-support in the economy and self-reliance in national defence as a treasured sword for victory in the revolution and a strategy for prosperity and recorded the course of the DPRK's nation-building and development with a chronicle of self-reliance.

Juche Korea, established by President Kim Il Sung and glorified by Chairman Kim Jong Il, has entered the era of dynamic drive and a new era of overall state prosperity under the guidance of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un.

Very rosy is the future of Juche Korea advancing along the path of prosperity by dint of self-reliance under the blessings of President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il.
