Officials of the Central Standing Committee and central organizations of the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan (Chongryon) laid floral baskets and bouquets before the portrait of smiling President Kim Il Sung and paid a tribute to him on April 14.

A meeting of Koreans in Japan took place at the Central Hall of Chongryon in Tokyo on April 14 to celebrate the 111th birth anniversary of Kim Il Sung.

Present there were Chairman Ho Jong Man, First Vice-Chairman and Director of the Organizational Department Pak Ku Ho, Vice-Chairman Nam Sung U, Vice-Chairman and Director General of the General Affairs Department Pae Jin Gu, Vice-Chairman Jo Il Yon, Vice-Chairman and Director of the Education Department Song Kun Hak and Vice-Chairman and Director of the Department for International Affairs and Reunification So Chung On of the Chongryon Central Standing Committee, Kang Chu Ryon, vice-chairwoman of the Chongryon Central Standing Committee and chairwoman of the Central Standing Committee of the Union of Democratic Korean Women in Japan, Ri Myong Yu, chairman of the Chongryon Central Audit Committee, department directors, school inspectors and advisors of the Chongryon Central Standing Committee, the director of the Research Institute on History of Korean Residents in Japan and chairpersons of headquarters of Chongryon.

Pak Ku Ho made a report at the meeting.

He praised Kim Il Sung as the pioneer of the overseas compatriots' movement in the era of independence, founder of Chongryon, benefactor of life and benevolent father of Koreans in Japan.

The immortal exploits performed by the President for the cause of Juche and the movement of Koreans in Japan had been further glorified under the wise leadership of Chairman Kim Jong Il and are now being translated into a brilliant reality thanks to the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un, he stressed.

He called upon all the officials of Chongryon and compatriots to turn out as one in the struggle to confidently put the overall patriotic work on a higher-pitched track under the bright blueprint of the prosperity of Chongryon unfolded by Kim Jong Un.

Nam Sung U read out a congratulatory letter to Kim Jong Un from the Central Standing Committee of the Chongryon.

A lecture was given at the Central Hall of Chongryon to celebrate the 111th birth anniversary of the President.

Seen at the lecture was a video titled "Noble life for the rising generations".
