Present there were personages of the State Duma of Russia, the Foreign Ministry, the Russian Association for Friendship and Cultural Cooperation with the DPRK and other figures from the Russian government, political parties and social organizations, and the DPRK ambassador to Russia and his embassy officials.

The participants laid floral baskets and bouquets before the art work depicting President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il standing together and paid tribute to them.

They also appreciated the photos dealing with the exploits performed by President Kim Il Sung, Chairman Kim Jong Il and the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un for the development of the DPRK-Russia friendly relations, works of the peerlessly great men and books showing the reality of the DPRK.

The vice-minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia said that Kim Il Sung was an outstanding state activist who devoted his whole life to the country.

He was boundlessly revered by all the Korean people, the vice-minister said, adding that he was a close friend of the Russian people and all countries of the world highly praised him.

The chairperson of the Party for Peace and Unity of Russia said that the mightiness of the DPRK is recognized by the world, adding that it would be unthinkable apart from the exploits of Kim Il Sung.

The chairperson praised Kim Il Sung as the great leader who regarded the people as the heaven and creator of inexhaustible strength and pursued the independent politics by relying on them.

Meanwhile, a celebration event took place at the DPRK mission in Khabarovsk of Russia on April 14 on the occasion of the Day of the Sun.
