Present at the ceremony were Vice-Premier Ri Song Hak, Vice Department Director of the Party Central Committee Jon Kyong Chol, officials concerned, participants in the festival and Pyongyangites.

There was a prize-giving ceremony, where 12 units highly praised at the festival were awarded the group prize, 20 works prize of ensemble, 48 persons individual prize and 8 jugglers and amateurs prize of winners.

The prizes were given with certificates and cups.

A letter to the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un was adopted at the ceremony amid the enthusiastic applause of all the participants.

Minister of Culture Sung Jong Gyu, chairman of the festival organizing committee, made a closing address.

He said that the 8th April Spring People's Art Festival marked a significant occasion as it instilled the boundless pride and self-esteem of Kim Il Sung's nation and Kim Jong Il's Korea into the people and showed the revolutionary will of the enthusiastic people to fully demonstrate the great era of Kim Jong Un before the world.

The flag of the festival was lowered amid the playing of the song "Ode to the Motherland".

Then a performance was given by organizations highly appreciated at the festival.
