Officials of the Ministry of Light Industry and relevant units have worked out realistic goals and plans for bringing about a definite improvement in the quality of textile goods and intensified operation and command while solving knotty problems such as technical and materials supply on the spot.

The Pyongyang Kim Jong Suk Textile Mill has conducted a socialist emulation for improving the quality of cloth for school uniforms and bags.

The Sinuiju Textile Mill has laid a foundation for putting production on a normal basis by locally producing spinning emulsion and made a progress in the work to produce supplementary reagents needed in dyeing with locally available raw materials.

Innovative successes are also witnessed at the Sariwon Textile Mill, the Haeju Textile Mill, the Pyongyang Rayon Factory and the Kusong Textile Mill.
