Production of Pumps Stepped up

Pyongyang, April 22 (KCNA) -- Irrigation machine factories in different parts of the DPRK are stepping up the production of pumps for the agricultural sector, in hearty response to the resolutions of the Seventh Plenary Meeting of the Eighth Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea.

Officials and workers of the Haeju Irrigation Machine Factory produced hundreds of pumps this year alone through an increased production drive.

Those of the Phyongsong Irrigation Machine Factory have boosted the production of pumps, overcoming hardships and difficulties in the revolutionary spirit of self-reliance.

The Sinuiju Irrigation Machine Factory concentrating efforts into increasing the quality of castings have produced necessary accessories in time in close contact with the relevant units.
