Oath-taking Meeting of UAWK Officials and Primary Information Workers

Pyongyang, April 22 (KCNA) -- An oath-taking meeting of officials and primary information workers of the Union of Agricultural Workers of Korea (UAWK) took place at the Madusan Revolutionary Battle Site on Friday to mark the 91st founding anniversary of the Korean People's Revolutionary Army (KPRA). Attending it were Jang Ki Chol, secretary of the South Phyongan Provincial Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK), and officials and primary information workers of the UAWK. Prior to the meeting, its participants made a study tour of the Madusan Revolutionary Battle Site. Ri Yong Chol, vice-chairman of the Central Committee of the union, read out a resolution. Noting that President Kim Il Sung founded the KPRA, the first revolutionary armed force of Juche type, on April 25, Juche 21 (1932), the resolution stressed it was a great event that made the Korean people have their genuine army for the first time in history, the main force of the revolution capable of playing a leading and core role in the sacred war for national liberation. It called upon all the people to turn out as one in the struggle to victoriously conclude this year's farming, true to the resolutions of the 6th and 7th Plenary Meetings of the 8th Central Committee of the WPK. It said that the union officials and primary information workers should fundamentally improve their work method and style, become an engine leading the masses with high sense of responsibility, devotion, tireless enthusiasm, revolutionary sweep and practical examples and conduct explanation and talk offensive, agitation for increased production and visual agitation on every farm field in a concentrated way. The resolution called for glorifying forever the tradition of loyalty, displayed by the anti-Japanese revolutionary forerunners, in the on-going general advance for prosperity and development of the country and happiness of posterity under the leadership of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un. Then followed speeches. |
