The Ministry of Land and Environment Protection, the Ministry of Urban Management and other relevant units have taken the work for improving the ecological environment of the Pothong River as an important policy task and completed the survey for its realization and carried out the stepwise plans.

They have also put the operation of environmental monitoring posts on a normal basis across the country by reinforcing environmental monitoring equipment so as to detect and take measures for environmental pollution and air pollution in time and introduced the real-time monitoring system.

They are making a prospective survey of proposed sites for increasing the nature reserves and studying scientific and technological problems arising in the management of major reserves.

They have prepared sewage purifying equipment well and made a scientific survey of water quality in the lower parts of the main rivers flowing into the sea, industrial areas and aquaculture grounds, thus preventing damage to the marine ecological environment.

All provinces are making positive preparations for reconstructing, repairing and building the facilities for environmental protection at industrial establishments after closely surveying the state of the ecological environment of forests.
