Sylvere Boswa Isekombe, general secretary of the Communist Party of the DR Congo, said in a statement that President Kim Il Sung was deeply revered by politicians and people of many countries as a political giant and pioneer of the cause of independence who steered the political trend of the 20th century.

A member of the Central Executive Committee of the Myanmar Journalist Association, Marwan Sudah, chairman of the Arab Committee for Solidarity with Korean People and Supporting the Reunification of Korea, Saber Ballul, former dean of the Political Faculty of University of Damascus of Syria, and Samir Diyab, chief of the Lebanese Group for the Study of the Juche Idea, said in their statements that the events for celebrating the Day of the Sun are held on an international scale every year, proving that President Kim Il Sung is an outstanding statesman representing the 20th century and the eternal sun of mankind.

Constantin Rotaru, chairman of the Socialist Party of Romania, the secretary general of the Romanian Workers' Association, Christer Lundgren, chairman of the Sweden-Korea Friendship Association, and the chairperson of the Thailand-DPRK Friendship Association, in articles introduced in detail the exploits performed by President Kim Il Sung for national liberation and victory in Fatherland Liberation War as well as his undying feats for the cause of independence against imperialism.

D. Narantuya, member of the Leadership Council of the Mongolian Mt. Paektu Association, in an article posted on a website said that President Kim Il Sung was a legendary great man who glorified his life like the sun with the august name of the sun.

Meanwhile, the Kuwait-DPRK Friendship Association and the Organization for the Study of the Juche Idea of Thailand issued statements on the occasion of the Day of the Sun and the 45th anniversary of the International Institute of the Juche Idea.
