The Ministry of Chemical Industry has responsibly organized and directed the undertakings for the readjustment and reinforcement of various units.

The Hungnam Fertilizer Complex is now building the catalyst production base of great significance in ensuring production with domestically available raw and other materials, and also the melamine resin production process. The capacity expansion project of supplementary coaling station is also underway for the purpose of stable increase of chemical products.

The February 8 Vinalon Complex set up new production process and is now developing raw material base for the prospective strengthening of production foundation.

The Sinuiju Chemical Fibre Mill and other units are conducting planned readjustment and reinforcement of equipment and production processes as well as their modernization for production increase.
