As there is April 25, Juche 21 (1932), when the Korean People's Revolutionary Army (KPRA), the first Juche-type revolutionary armed forces, was founded, the dawn for the liberation of the country came to break and a new history of modern Korea full of miracles and changes started on the formerly distressed land of Korea, the editorial notes.

The strongest revolutionary armed forces faithful to the important mission of defending the country, people and revolution, the status and national power of our powerful state being fully demonstrated before the world and the eternal rosy future of the revolutionary cause of Juche are all linked to the historic day, the editorial says, and goes on:

The Korean revolution has dynamically advanced toward the goal set by itself along the road chosen by itself without any stagnation or slightest vacillation in the face of the ordeals. This is attributable to the thorough-going inheritance of the precious tradition created in the period of pioneering.

The spirit of defending the leader unto death, the most important ideological and moral wealth of the Korean revolution, and the revolutionary spirit of self-reliance and revolutionary optimism were born in the battle sites of the anti-Japanese war. The indomitable revolutionary spirit, revolutionary comradeship, revolutionary working style, habit of study and way of life were handed down by the anti-Japanese revolutionary forerunners.

The militant spirit of the KPRA, which prevailed in the homeland with confidence in sure victory and struck terror into the Japanese imperialist aggressors, is now vividly reflected in the heroic struggle of our people and service personnel who are sharing the idea, intention and step with the Party Central Committee and opening up a new phase of upsurge in the development of the country.

The patriotic spirit of self-reliance displayed by the anti-Japanese forerunners in the forests of Mt Paektu became the driving force that propelled the rehabilitation and construction of the country, and the spirit of self-respect and self-development based on the anti-Japanese armed struggle developed into the all-people idea and will to build the socialist state independent in politics, self-supporting in the economy and self-reliant in national defence on this land once defined by sycophancy and subjugation.

The warm blood and sweats shed by the anti-Japanese revolutionary forerunners and their brilliant feats are the eternal patriotic textbook teaching the younger generations how to love and glorify the country.

Inheritance of the revolution is not a mere handing down to posterity but the succession to the fighting spirit and the live indomitable spirit.

Glorious is the origin of our revolution and also its traditions.

The sure guarantee for accomplishing the revolutionary cause of Juche lies in invariably carrying forward the glorious tradition whose attractive power and vitality have been clearly proved in the long course of struggle of the Korean revolution, the editorial says, adding that the prospect of the Korean revolution is rosy as the ideology and faith are successfully carried forward.
