Waterway Project Sees Innovative Success

| Pyongyang, April 27 (KCNA) -- A Hwangju-Kindung waterway project is making headway in the DPRK, true to the resolution of the 7th Plenary Meeting of the 8th Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea which calls for perfecting the country's irrigation system during the period of the five-year plan. Since the outset of this year, its builders have removed hundreds of thousands of cubic meters of earth and rock, carried out hundreds of meters of tunneling and pushed ahead with construction of structures as planned to open up a prospect for completing the project for building waterway extending hundreds of ris (1 ri=392m) at an earlier time. |
