Present there were Jon Hyon Chol, secretary of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK), Yang Sung Ho, vice-premier of the Cabinet, Kim Yu Il, minister of Electric Power Industry, Jang Song Ho, secretary of the South Phyongan Provincial Committee of the WPK, and officials and employees of the plant.

Jon Hyon Chol conveyed a congratulatory message of the WPK Central Committee to the workers, technicians and officials of the power plant.

The WPK Central Committee in its message extended congratulations and encouragement to the workers, technicians and officials of the plant who have distinguished themselves in implementing the Party's policy for the electric power industry over the past 40 years.

The message noted that the workers of the plant have made proud successes by raising the fierce flames of putting the production on a normal track and fully displaying the patriotic enthusiasm and the fighting spirit.

It said that the workers, technicians and officials of the plant have fulfilled the national economic plan every year and introduced a lot of valuable technical innovation proposals, thus operating equipment at full capacity and bringing much benefit to the state.

The message highly appreciated them for having devoted their efforts, wisdom and enthusiasm to the dynamic advance of the socialist country, absolutely and single-mindedly trusting and following the WPK for decades.
