The exhibition simultaneously takes place at Pyongyang Department Store No. 1, Pyongyang Children's Department Store, Pyongyang Underground Shop, West Pyongyang Department Store and East Pyongyang Department Store, where more than 3 660 varieties of commodities such as industrial products, foodstuffs, household articles and electronic products are on display.

An opening ceremony was held at Pyongyang Department Store No. 1 on April 28.

Attending the ceremony were officials and working people of ministries, national institutions, consumer-goods producing units, commercial service units, etc.

Kwak Jong Jun, minister of Commerce, made an opening address.

After the opening ceremony, the participants looked round the exhibition venue.
