The contests of art squads, divided into eastern and western regions, were held through on-site motivation activities.

At the Ryongsong Machine Complex, art squad members encouraged its workers effecting innovations in the production of custom-built equipment by inheriting the traditions of self-reliance. Guitar ensemble "The Masters of This Land Tell", instrumental ensemble "A Bumper Harvest in the Chongsan Plain" and other numbers encouraged the agricultural workers at the Samjigang Farm in Jaeryong County striving to surely attain the grain production goal for this year and become the standard-bearers in implementing the programme for socialist rural revolution.

Meanwhile, provincial, city and county women's union committees held exhibitions of motivation means at construction and production sites and farms in their regions, including the construction site for a new street in the Sopho area of Pyongyang and the Kim Chaek Iron and Steel Complex.
