May Day is a significant holiday of the working people of Juche Korea who are fully demonstrating their revolutionary spirit and militant might while advancing with full confidence despite all difficulties, rallied close around the ever-victorious Workers' Party of Korea, says Rodong Sinmun, and goes on:

Our working people have set a brilliant example in accomplishing the cause of socialism, the cause of independence of the popular masses, under the guidance of the leader.

President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il regarded the workers, peasants, intellectuals and other broad sections of working masses as the masters of the revolution and aroused them to victoriously advance the revolution and construction.

Thanks to the idea, leadership and benevolent care of the great leaders, the working people could consolidate the foundation for the self-supporting economy and build an invincible socialist state on this land and glorify their worthwhile life and honor with their diligent and sincere efforts.

The new century of Juche is associated with the proud journey of the Korean working people who have invariably carried forward their glorious history and traditions of struggle and revolutionary spirit under the outstanding leadership of the respected General Secretary Kim Jong Un.

Our working people have fully displayed the revolutionary spirit, fighting efficiency and heroic mettle peculiar to them on the glorious path they have traveled holding Kim Jong Un in high esteem at the helm of the revolution.

The dignity and national power of Juche Korea have been put on the highest level and an era of our state-first principle has been ushered in on this land. This would be unthinkable without the noble loyalty and heroic struggle of all the working people across the country.

Thanks to the working people who make patriotic and sincere efforts, our Party is powerful and our country is making long strides following up the victory.
