May Day Marked in DPRK
Pyongyang, May 2 (KCNA) -- All the people across the country significantly celebrated the 133rd May Day, the international holiday of the working people all over the world.

Those who visited the plaza of the Kumsusan Palace of the Sun paid the highest tribute to President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il. The palace is the sacred temple of Juche, where the President and the Chairman lie in state.

Those officials and working people who visited the statues of the great leaders on Mansu Hill and their statues and the mosaics depicting their smiling images in different parts of the country made floral tribute.

Officials of the Party and power organs encouraged labor innovators to achieve more shining successes with the honor of being vanguard fighters of self-reliance and standard-bearers in creation at the worksites for the struggle for attaining the 12 major goals for national economic development set forth by the Party.

Sports and amusement games were held at industrial establishments, farms and other places across the country, adding to the festive mood.

Sports games of the working people took place at Ryonggang Folklore Park in Nampho City, which was successfully built as the recreation ground for the people.

Colorful art performances were given at theatres and on the outdoor stages in Pyongyang and other parts of the country to add to the joy of the people on holiday.
