In the contest which was held, divided into two groups, the Pyongyang University of Medicine Hospital and the Okryu Children's Hospital came first, the Academy of Medical Science and the General Dental Hospital under the Ministry of Public Health second, and the Korea General Red Cross Hospital and the Namsan Hospital third in the total standings.

A closing ceremony took place at the Taekwon-Do Hall on May 1.

Attending the ceremony were Choe Tong Myong, department director of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, public health workers and players, and employees of national-level hospitals and the Academy of Medical Science.

Choe Kyong Chol, minister of Public Health, made a closing address.
