The workers of the North Phyongan Provincial Tideland Reclamation General Enterprise stepped up the embankment projects for Wol Islet and Honggon tideland reclamation.

The workers of the Sokhwa tideland reclamation project actively introduced advanced engineering methods and technical means, and increased the actual working ratio of excavators and lorries.

The workers of the South Hwanghae Provincial Tideland Reclamation General Enterprise are working hard at Kakhoedo tideland reclamation.

Efforts are made in various parts of the country to put more land under cultivation. Jongju City and Cholsan County in North Phyongan Province recovered over 10 hectares of formerly unused land under cultivation while Hongwon County of South Hamgyong Province and Suan County of North Hwanghae Province and other areas are recovering land that was washed away, buried or turned into woods.

Amid the boosted enthusiasm for land realignment during the spring season land realignment campaign, more than 3 000 hectares of land have so far been realigned thanks to the efforts of officials and members of the land realignment shock brigade.
