Efforts for Developing Fruit Farming Made in DPRK

Pyongyang, May 3 (KCNA) -- True to the Workers' Party of Korea's policy on fruit farming to provide the people with quality and tasty fruits, many units in the DPRK strive to lay a solid foundation for developing fruit farming.

This year witnessed the new creation of more than 1,000 hectares of dwarf apple orchard and the replacement of fruit trees with new ones in more than 4,500 hectares.

Fruit producers across the country have planted fruit trees of high productivity and quality and manured and tended them well according to their growth conditions.
