Present there were Pak In Chol, chairman of the Central Committee of the GFTUK, Kim Kum Ryong, secretary of the Kaesong City Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, officials of the GFTUK and workers and members of the GFTUK in Kaesong City.

Speakers at the meeting bitterly denounced the U.S. imperialist aggressors who openly revealed their dangerous scenario for a nuclear war, not content with their desperate moves for escalating confrontation with the DPRK and condemned the south Korean puppet group of traitors who turned south Korea into a nuclear war arsenal and outpost of the U.S. in the name of the workers and trade union members across the country.

They said that the war boss of the U.S., a peerless gangster-like state, and the top-class puppet traitor kicked up the recent nuclear war scenario under the unstable military and political situation created by ceaseless war drills and the sustained deployment of huge strategic assets in recent years, and it fully revealed to the world what is the source and physical entity that threaten the peace and security of the Korean Peninsula and the region. They went on:

The anti-DPRK confrontation hysteria of the U.S. imperialists and the south Korean puppet forces is a bluff and last-ditch effort of aggressors and provocateurs, frightened by the ever-increasing might of the DPRK. The present reality clearly proves that the people of the DPRK were truly just when they chose to bolster up the nuclear force and that we must be stronger and more thoroughly prepared.

The speakers said that if the enemies force a war on this land again, oblivious of the history of shameful defeat they suffered from the DPRK over the past 70-odd years, the workers and the trade union members will form worker regiments and divisions and surely win an epochal victory.

The participants in the meeting adopted a statement denouncing the U.S. imperialists and the puppet group of traitors running amuck to ignite a nuclear war.

Then they staged a demonstration.

Flying the flags of the DPRK, they shouted the slogans calling for wiping out all the groups of aggression and treachery to the last with the arms of the class, together with the hammers of self-sustenance and self-reliance.
