Pyongyang City has finished the irrigation project for this year ahead of schedule and Nampho City has also made a good result by vigorously conducting the project.

Phyongsong, Tokchon, and Anju cities and Sukchon County in South Phyongan Province have also made a big stride in the fulfillment of the irrigation project, amid growing enthusiasm for regional emulation for completing the irrigation system on tens of thousands of hectares of arable land.

Other cities and counties have entered the paddy field irrigation project in the spirit of completing the irrigation project for dry fields of the planned area.

Officials and working people in South Hamgyong Province carried out their daily assignments in a responsible manner. As a result, the irrigation system for over 17,000 hectares of paddy and non-paddy fields have been completed in the province.

North Hamgyong Province is directing big efforts to redressing the problems arising in the trial operation of irrigation facilities at an early date so as to ensure normal operation.

Many regions of North Hwanghae Province have completed most part of the irrigation project planned for this year, North Phyongan Province has entered the final stage and Kangwon Province and Kaesong City have achieved successes in the project.
