The Kangryong Lake desalination project is being pushed forward under the provincial irrigational project plan for carrying out the resolutions made at the 7th plenary meeting of the 8th Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea. Unchon County is doing Suhap River dredging and the project for irrigating tens of thousands of fields, the project for improving river extending hundreds of kilometers and the project for perpetuating tide embankment extending scores of kilometers. This all help create a substantial guarantee for addressing water supply issue.
