Agricultural guidance organs and organizations of the Union of Agricultural Workers of Korea in the province have also carried out political work and agricultural guidance to ensure that farmers carry out the national grain production plan for this year without fail.

A review of the socialist emulation for ploughing, building dry-field irrigation and carrying out the immediate farming process took place in Phyongsong City on Sunday.

During the emulation period which lasted from April 20 to April 30, more than ten cities and counties finished ploughing and maize planting at least ten days earlier than the same period last year and completed the planned irrigation projects.

The province put forward the leading cities, counties and farms and organized a movement for overtaking, learning from and swapping experiences with them, while vigorously conducting the next-stage socialist emulation for finishing the immediate rice-transplanting and weeding qualitatively at the right time.
