More Electricity Produced in DPRK
Pyongyang, May 10 (KCNA) -- Officials and workers of thermal- and hydro-power stations across the country are boosting the production to implement the resolutions made at the Sixth Plenary Meeting of the Eighth Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea.

This year they have produced millions more kWh of electricity every day as compared with the same period last year.

The workers of the Pukchang Thermal Power Complex have striven to supply parts and materials needed for repairing the generating equipment.

The East Pyongyang Thermal Power Plant has increased the operation time of boilers.

The Pyongyang Thermal Power Plant, the Chongchongang Thermal Power Plant and other thermal power plants are overhauling equipment in a responsible manner and increasing power production while strictly observing technical rules and standard regulations.

The Hochongang Power Station is keeping equipment in full operation while speeding up the work for readjusting and reinforcing production bases. The Sodusu Power Station is increasing the production of electricity by ensuring the preventive repair of hydraulic structures according to seasonal conditions.

The Jangjingang Power Station, the Paektusan Hero Youth Power Station and the Kumyagang Army-People Power Station are putting water management on a scientific basis and directing efforts to ensuring high water levels and high efficiency operation.

The workers of the Huichon Power Station, Wiwon Power Station and other hydro-power stations are also making dynamic efforts for increased production and creativity.
