Attending the workshop were officials concerned of the Cabinet, the Agricultural Commission, Party committees and rural economic committees of each province, scientists of the Academy of Agricultural Science and others.

The workshop dealt with the issues of making disastrous weather climate an established fact this year and properly fixing the date for rice-transplanting.

In particular, they stressed the need to actively introduce a new type of high-speed machine for transplanting nutrient rice and raise the utilization rate of farm machines to the maximum so as to ensure the speed and quality of rice-transplanting at the highest level.

The building of new types of tractors, high-speed machines for nutrient rice-transplanting and drones for spraying insecticides caught the attention of the attendees.

The performances of rice-seedling leaf-cutting machines exhibited by each province were also judged.

The workshop also showed demonstrations for operating rice-transplanting machines in the paddy field and pushing ahead with fish farming in paddy fields.
