True to the intention of the Workers' Party of Korea to raise the social concern for the railway transport sector, officials and working people in the province have supplied more than 10,000 cubic meters of gravel, arranged roadbeds extending hundreds of kilometers, cleared out ditches extending more than 380,000 meters and sent a lot of materials for repairing railways this year.

Sinuiju City cleared out ditches extending 1,200 meter by tapping internal reserves and gave priority to supplying cement and steel needed for the production of concrete sleepers.

Unjon, Kwaksan and Sakju counties sent more than 100,000 pieces of railway fixtures and a large amount of supplies to railway companies.

Working people in Cholsan County supplemented more than 1,300 cubic meters of gravel in a short span of time and planted more than 60,000 bush clovers around railroads.

Jongju City and Pakchon and Sonchon counties have repaired the revetments and improved the slope as required by technical regulations in contact with the railway transport sector, thus contributing to the non-accident run of trains.

The provincial Land and Environmental Conservation Bureau, the provincial telecommunications management bureau and the Ponghwa Chemical Factory, too, sent materials for repairing railroads to the railway transport field.
