South Hwanghae Province, which is taking a big share in the country's grain production, has finished the maize planting in main areas in the right time.

Kangwon Province and Nampho and Pyongyang cities completed the maize planting in the right season, thus providing another guarantee for attaining this year's goal of grain production set forth by the Workers' Party of Korea.

North Phyongan and North Hwanghae provinces have increased the area of humus-potted maize cultivation and correctly ensured the number of plants per phyong.

North Hamgyong Province has made sure that the maize planting is conducted in a qualitative way in due season.

The maize planting is being pushed forward at the final stage in South Hamgyong and Jagang provinces, too.
