Electric-Power Industrial Sector Promotes Efficiency of Generating Equipment

| Pyongyang, May 14 (KCNA) -- In hearty response to the resolutions of the 6th Plenary Meeting of the 8th Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, the electric-power industrial sector of the DPRK is focusing its efforts on raising the efficiency of the power-generating equipment. The Pukchang Thermal Power Complex saved lots of coal and raised the combustion efficiency markedly through the dynamic mass technical innovation campaign. The East Pyongyang Thermal Power Plant is concentrating on applying technological innovations for promoting the boiler combustion efficiency in touch with a relevant unit. The Pyongyang Thermal Power Plant made buckets with locally available materials to provide a guarantee for increasing the electric-power production. Similar successes were achieved by Chongchongang and Sunchon thermal power plants and Jangjingang and Hochongang power stations. |
