Capital citizens are now conducting a mass campaign to exterminate forest insects as part of their efforts for turning Pyongyang into a woodland and beautiful park.

South Hamgyong Province has set up monitoring posts in relevant places and intensified monitoring to take necessary relief measures.

North Phyongan and South Hwanghae provinces have also conducted the work to monitor and control forest insects in a sci-tech way.

Working people in South Phyongan and Kangwon provinces and Nampho City have also removed the sources of various harmful insects and introduced various kinds of biological pesticides and natural enemies of insects.
