13th Meeting of Korean Mothers Held in Japan
Pyongyang, May 24 (KCNA) -- The 13th meeting of Mothers of the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan (Chongryon) took place in Tokyo on April 19.

The meeting was aimed to turn the movement of Korean women in Japan into a patriotic movement and prepare the women officials, activists and mothers of the new generation into the core of the women's union through a struggle to preserve the national education, true to the important letter sent by the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un to the participants in the 25th Congress of Chongryon.

Present there were officials of the Central Standing Committee of the Union of Democratic Korean Women in Japan and those of the union headquarters and other compatriot women.

A congratulatory message from the Central Committee of the Socialist Women's Union of Korea was introduced.

Kang Chu Ryon, vice-chairwoman of the Chongryon Central Standing Committee and concurrently chairwoman of the Central Standing Committee of the Union of Democratic Korean Women in Japan, presided over the meeting.

She said that the respected Marshal Kim Jong Un put forward Korean women in Japan as the first teachers implanting patriotism and national pride into the minds of their children and gardeners cultivating the garden of national education with much efforts to keep their children's beautiful dreams.

In order to bring up the children well as intended by Kim Jong Un, it is necessary to overcome the fierce blizzards of an alien land and defend the national education, the lifeline of the movement of Koreans in Japan, to the last, she said, stressing that this sacred patriotic cause can emerge victorious only when the women's union and Korean women in Japan take the lead.

At the meeting, there was a congratulatory performance after speeches and lecture.

An appeal to all the Korean women in Japan was adopted at there.
