News of Letter-relay Teams of Loyalty by KCU Members
Pyongyang, May 26 (KCNA) -- The letter-relay teams of loyalty by members of the Korean Children's Union (KCU) from across the country, who left Samjiyon City, the sacred place of revolution, are running towards Pyongyang, divided into the east and west coastal areas.

The letter-relay team, which headed to the east coastal area, fluttering the flag of the KCU in the forests of Mt Paektu, passed through Rason City and North Hamgyong Province and reached Tanchon City of South Hamgyong Province on May 25, handing over the letter of loyalty.

KCU members involved in the group presented floral baskets and bouquets to the statues of the great leaders and mosaics depicting their images in the relevant areas.

They visited the Monument to the Victorious Battle of Musan Area, the North Hamgyong Provincial Revolutionary Museum and other places where they recalled the immortal revolutionary exploits of the peerlessly great men, looking round the historical relics and data.

They gave diverse agitation performances at the Kim Chaek Iron and Steel Complex, the Jungphyong Greenhouse Farm of the North Hamgyong Provincial Rural Economy Committee, the Sinyang Farm in Myonggan County, etc.

The letter-relay team running in the west coastal area passed through Kanggye City, Sinuiju City and other cities and counties of Jagang and North Phyongan provinces and entered Anju City of South Phyongan Province on Thursday.

Its members visited the Revolutionary Site in Mt Jangja, the Pongrinsan Revolutionary Battle Site, the "1,000-ri Journey for Learning" Schoolchildren's Palace, etc. and conducted agitprop activities for increased production at factories and farms.

They also conducted colorful political and cultural work.

Those teams were warmly welcomed by many officials, working people and school youth and children in the regions where they passed through.

They continue their journey to Pyongyang.
