Progress Made in Machine Industry of DPRK

Pyongyang, June 7 (KCNA) -- In hearty response to the resolutions made at the 7th Plenary Meeting of the 8th Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, workers in the machine industry of the DPRK are increasing production in the spirit that they fulfilled the first half-yearly plan for producing farm accessories and materials.

Officials of the Ministry of Machine Industry and relevant units have carried on meticulous economic operation and guidance to ensure the production of farm machine parts and materials for the agricultural front.

The Huichon Precision Machine Plant produced tens of thousands of accessories in five kinds, including high-pressure fuel pump, gear pump, distributor and jet.

The Kumsong Tractor Factory increased the productivity by manufacturing a new assembling jig necessary for the manufacture of a wheel cylinder to suit the actual conditions.

Workers of the Pyongyang Electric Cable General Factory 326 boost production while directing efforts to raising the level of their technical skills and ensuring the quality of products.

Pyongyang and Ryangchaek bearing factories and the Anju Insulating Material Factory have made innovations in the production of farm accessories and materials.
