Officials of the Party and power organs in the municipality are busy sharing duties and summing up the preparations for all units to cope with the sudden situation.

They are striving to enhance the role of emergency disaster control teams organized in the municipality and its districts, counties and at industrial establishments and other units and arouse the masses to the disaster prevention work with high sense of crisis.

They set it as the first and important task to protect the lives and property of the people from flood and typhoon damage while perfecting the preparations for protection of dwelling houses and public buildings in dangerous areas and evacuation of inhabitants.

Meanwhile, the control teams at all levels are making preparations for further strengthening the emergency information system, reinforcing observation posts and urgently mobilizing necessary personnel and equipment.

The municipality has concentrated efforts on raising the water-carrying capacity by dredging more than 1,200 cubic meters of river bed, reinforcing embankments and cleaning ditches and on improving roads.
