Preparations for Wheat, Barley Harvest Hastened in DPRK

Pyongyang, June 11 (KCNA) -- Farms in North Hwanghae Province of the DPRK are making full preparations for harvest of wheat and barley, earlier crops, true to the resolutions of the 7th Plenary Meeting of the 8th Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea.

Officials and agricultural workers in the province finished the overhaul of threshers, harvesters and other farm machines and secured many medium and small farm implements to provide conditions for carrying out the harvest of wheat and barley at an early date.

The provincial rural economy committee took practical steps to supply enough spare parts needed for the repair of farm machines and dispatched technicians and skilled workers to finish the repair and maintenance in a short span of time.

Farm machine stations launched a mobile repair team movement to finish the intensive repair and maintenance of harvesters and threshers in a short span of time.
