They are pushing ahead with the work for gathering and desiccating earlier crops in good time to prevent them from being rotten in the rainy season and for clearing out ditches and drainage channels to prevent flood and moisture damage.

After acquainting themselves with the normal operation of water gates, they have corrected shortcomings and repaired and reinforced water-proof facilities of reservoirs, drainage lock gates, drainage pumping stations, etc.

They are stepping up the projects to finish the improvement of small and medium rivers and perpetuate and repaire tide embankments in the shortest time, ensure the full operation of pumping equipment and lower the soil temperature by conducting the water control on paddy fields in a scientific way.

They have taken more detailed steps to improve the drought-resistance and nutritive conditions of crops by using regulating fertilizer, ear fertilizer and leaf additional fertilizer in a responsible manner and to apply rational irrigation methods such as irrigation with sprinklers and furrow irrigation while putting the main stress on water sprinkling.
