Since its opening in May Juche 102 (2013), the school has kept on innovating teaching and training methods to make the students promising reserves.

The school is associated with the wise leadership of the respected General Secretary Kim Jong Un, who built it into a pedigree establishment for training football reserves and paid great attention to the making of teaching programs, selecting of students, organizing of supply services, etc.

The General Secretary personally chose the site for the school, sent a powerful building force to speed up its construction and named it "Pyongyang International Football School".

When he visited the school in June 2013, he underscored the need to apply scientific methods and means to teaching as the school specializes in training football reserves.

He also gave important instructions on training more excellent football reveres by constantly improving the contents and methods of education as required by the developing reality and properly managing and operating the school.

In hearty response to his teachings, the educators of the school have invented and applied scientific training means and created effective training guidelines to develop the motor functions of students.

Some graduates of the school stole the limelight in many games.

At present, the educators of the school devote their wisdom and passion to steadily developing and introducing scientific teaching and training methods and means.
