The Rungna People's Sports Park covering an area of more than 200,000 square meters has basketball, volleyball, field hockey courts, skatepark and other mass sports facilities and public gardens and cafes.

The park, built on the direct initiative and guidance of the respected General Secretary Kim Jong Un, is a comprehensive sports service center.

When visiting the newly-built park in June Juche 102 (2013), the General Secretary said that lots of mass sports service centers were built in Pyongyang Municipality and other parts of the country to make sports mass-based and part of the people's everyday life.

That day, he clarified the ways for managing well the sports facilities and equipment and properly organizing service activities.

True to his instructions, the officials and employees of the park have made the surroundings more beautiful by planting lots of flowers and trees and spruced up the cultural and welfare establishments and cafes as required by the new century to improve the service for visitors.

By taking good care of sports facilities and equipment, they made sure that visitors to the park could enjoy a good time doing exercises to their taste.

Tens of rounds of national sports games were successfully held at the park.

Foreigners, too, have visited the park to enjoy various sports games and cultural and emotional life.
