First Half-yearly Plan Carried out at Wonsan Youth Power Station

Pyongyang, June 17 (KCNA) -- The Wonsan Youth Power Station in the DPRK has boosted productivity from the outset of the year to implement the resolutions at the plenary meetings of the Party Central Committee. It finished the first half-yearly plan for power production ahead of schedule.

Its workers and technicians developed an efficient auto synchronous turn on device, a water-level measuring device and a pump-automating device to raise the scientification level of water control and the efficiency of generating equipment.

They also laid a foundation for the implementation of power production plan by overhauling the hydraulic structure including over ten kms of water channels in a qualitative way.

They are reusing accessories by applying new welding techniques.

Power stations Nos. 1 and 2 boosted power production per one ton of water by controlling water in a scientific way.

Power stations Nos. 3 and 4, too, played a part in carrying out the first half-yearly production plan ahead of schedule.
