He started his work at the WPK Central Committee on June 19, Juche 53 (1964). This was a historic event of epochal significance in the development of the WPK and the Juche revolution.

On this historic day, he told officials that it is his lifelong task to develop the WPK into the eternal party of President Kim Il Sung.

He had worked heart and soul to develop the WPK into the eternal party of the President, always cherishing in mind the pledge he made on the day.

He proclaimed the modeling the whole society on Kimilsungism as the supreme programme of the Party and put forward the line of modeling the entire Party on Kimilsungism, which served as a milestone of decisive turn in developing the Party into the great party of the President.

In order to firmly establish the monolithic ideological system of the Party and strengthen the unity and cohesion of the Party ranks based on the revolutionary idea of the President, he published immortal classic works including the work "On the Fundamentals of Revolutionary Party Building".

Thanks to his energetic leadership, the WPK developed into a revolutionary party in which the ideological and leadership system of the leader was firmly established.

He regarded it as his lifeline to strengthen the guidance of the leader in each period and at every stage of the revolution and construction and built the Party into a powerful one modeled on the President's ideology and full of his personality. Indeed, this is his great exploits.

The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un said in his report to the Seventh Congress of the WPK that building the party into the leader's party constitutes the core of Kim Jong Il's Juche-oriented idea and theory of the party building.

Today, the WPK is fully demonstrating the dignity and might of the Party of Comrades Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il under the guidance of the respected General Secretary Kim Jong Un.
