The resolutions adopted at the 8th Plenary Meeting of the 8th Central Committee of the WPK constitute an organizational will and practical programme indicating the orientation of the advance of the Korean revolution, says Rodong Sinmun, and goes on:

They clarify the most correct and effective fighting strategies for dynamically leading our style of socialist construction to a positive phase of upswing according to our timetable, and reflect the steadfast will of our Party to accelerate the revolutionary advance this year in order to bring about a fresh upswing in the overall development of our style of socialism.

The Eighth Plenary Meeting of the Eighth Central Committee of the WPK has laid out the fighting orientation and tasks for waging a more vigorous struggle for implementing the major policies for this year and thus convinced our people of more confidence in victory and boosted their courageous spirit of advance, and herein lies the great significance of this plenary meeting.

All sectors and units should wage a more vigorous struggle to glorify this year as a year of great turn and change to be notably recorded in the course of development of the Republic, true to the resolutions of the Eighth Plenary Meeting of the Eighth Central Committee of the WPK.

They should harden their firm faith that the Party's plan and determination are science and truth and their death-defying will to perform miracles and feats in the struggle to implement the ideas of the Party and uphold its policies, so as to successfully attain the goals of struggle facing their sectors and units.

Let us all throw ourselves into carrying out the resolutions of the Eighth Plenary Meeting of the Eighth Party Central Committee in the elated fighting spirit and thus glorify this significant year as a year of great change in which we make another leap forward in the course of bringing earlier the overall development of socialism.

Minju Joson stresses that all officials and working people should turn out as one in the drive to implement the resolutions of the 8th Plenary Meeting of the 8th Central Committee of the WPK for the prosperity of the state.
