Speeches were made at the meetings

The general secretary of the Movement for Peace and Socialism of Italy, the chairman of the Italian Committee for the Study of the Juche Idea and the secretary general of the European Society for the Study of the Juche Idea said that Leader Kim Jong Il's start of work at the Party Central Committee was a noteworthy event to be specially recorded in the history of the WPK, praising him as the great master of ideology and theory and genuine leader of the people.

The chairman of the Sweden-Korea Friendship Association said that as Comrade Kim Jong Il started work at the Central Committee of the WPK, the Korean revolution took a new radical turn.

The chairman of the Finnish National Committee for the Study of the Juche Idea lauded Kim Jong Il as a peerless patriot who performed great exploits in the history of Juche-oriented party building and benevolent father who devoted himself to the people all his life.

The chairman of the Friendship Society Norway-Korea said that Comrade Kim Jong Il performed great exploits in the whole period of leading the WPK and the Korean people, adding that under his leadership the DPRK overcame all difficulties and demonstrated its might as a powerful country.

The chairman of the Denmark-DPRK Friendship Association praised Kim Jong Il for his outstanding ideo-theoretical wisdom and world-historic achievements for mankind, stressing that the progressive people boundlessly revere him as an extraordinary statesman, staunch defender of socialism and ardent revolutionary even now.

A congratulatory message to the respected General Secretary Kim Jong Un was adopted at an event in Denmark.

Meanwhile, a meeting and a seminar on exploits were held in Thailand on June 16 to mark the 30th anniversary of the meeting between President Kim Il Sung and the Thai crown prince during his second visit to the DPRK and the 59th anniversary of Chairman Kim Jong Il's start of work at the WPK Central Committee.
