Rodong Sinmun says in an article that the spirit of defending the country in the 1950s created by the people and servicepersons of the DPRK during the hard-fought war is the most precious ideological and moral legacy to be steadily inherited by their descendants and the symbol of eternal victory.

The Fatherland Liberation War vividly left in history the truth that nothing can match the might of the people who turned out as one in the struggle for defending their country and land, united around the great leader.

The spirit in the 1950s, displayed in the combats to honorably defend the dignity and sovereignty of the country with matchless bravery and self-sacrificing spirit, is the inexhaustible source of bringing about fresh miracles and changes, and the eternal victory and prosperity are guaranteed by steadfastly carrying forward the spirit.

The U.S. imperialists and the puppet group of traitors are now getting more frantic in their moves for confrontation with the DPRK, oblivious of their bitter defeat in the past, while persistently staging war drills for aggression after making a preemptive nuclear attack on the DPRK a fait accompli.

It is the steadfast will of our descendants who have grown up, learning the heroic spirit of the victorious wartime generation, to accelerate the victorious advance of socialist construction by more tightly taking the bayonets of the revolution and the arms of class associated with the red blood of the forerunners.

The world will clearly see how our people, fully armed with the spirit of defending the country in the 1950s, steadily carry forward the victorious history of Juche Korea.
