Officials in Hamju County of South Hamgyong Province take measures to reduce damage to farmlands and crops by heavy rain. They are solving knotty problems at the pumping stations and ensuring that the stations make preparations for draining under any circumstances. Farms are taking steps to prevent paddy rice from being submerged while pushing ahead with the work to protect the crops from damage by moisture.

Big efforts are concentrated on ceaselessly threshing and storing grain safely while carrying harvested early crops without delay and taking measures to protect them from rain.

Other parts of the province are taking measures to cope with the expected heavy rainfall.
