The resolutions of the plenary meeting, which indicated the major policies for vigorously speeding up the revolutionary advance under the banner of independence in politics, self-support in the economy and self-reliance in national defence, serve as the militant banner to be held fast to in the all-people struggle for bringing about a fresh upswing in the overall development of Korean-style socialism, the editorial says, and goes on:

It is our Party's mode of leadership to markedly raise the working morale of all the people and speed up the advance of our cause by regularly convening major Party meetings at each period and at every stage of the developing revolution to analyze and review the successes, experience and deviations made in socialist construction and set new fighting policies and goals.

In the first half of this year, our Party and people achieved valuable successes, encouraging, progressive and proud, in the whole society through their positive struggle despite unfavorable subjective and objective situations.

The recent plenary meeting set forth the policies for dynamically guiding our style of socialist construction to a sharp upward turn on the basis of the already-made successes as scheduled in our timetable. Very great is the historic significance of the plenary meeting which discussed in depth and decided the policy issues for radically advancing our revolution with specific, professional and innovative character.

The plenary meeting is a demonstration of our Party's steadfast will to bring about a fresh upswing in the overall development of socialist construction through uninterrupted progress and successive offensive.

Victory and successes can shine only when they are further expanded and developed.

Let us all fully arm with the revolutionary idea of the respected General Secretary Kim Jong Un and follow his revolutionary spirit and carry through the resolutions of the 8th Plenary Meeting of the 8th WPK Central Committee, and thus fully demonstrate the heroic stamina of our generation, the greatest and most powerful in the history of the Republic, and accomplish the great cause of building the wealthy state with powerful army as soon as possible.
