The Ministry of Public Health set a plan for introducing the intelligent medical service system on the basis of survey of the environment and conditions at the relevant curative and preventive organs and launched the preparations for its introduction.

There was a technical lecture on this system through video conferencing in February. In April, scientists, technicians and medical workers concerned were dispatched to the east and west coastal areas to organize a technical guidance over various problems arising in the preparations for its introduction.

In close contact with relevant units in the public health sector, officials of Pyongyang Municipality and Moranbong District made successes in settling the knotty problems for applying the system to the Pyongyang Municipal General Hospital No. 2 and the Moranbong District Hospital.

Officials of different provinces proceed with the material and technical preparations for putting the medical service on an intelligent and IT footing.

At present, the Ministry of Public Health introduced the intelligent medical service system into the Pyongyang Municipal General Hospital No. 2 and the Moranbong District Hospital on a trial basis and is pushing ahead with the work to apply it to all provincial, city and county curative and preventive organs.
