Members of the youth league in Chongjin, Kim Chaek and Hoeryong cities, Hwadae, Yonsa, Kyonghung and Myongchon counties appealed to youth league organizations to put their names on the list of volunteers, full of enthusiasm to take the lead in the campaign for attaining the goal of grain production set forth by the Party.

Young people in Kilju, Myonggan, Onsong and other counties volunteered to work at leading iron production bases, coal mines and construction sites.

A meeting took place at the Chongjin Theatre on Sunday to congratulate the young people volunteering to work at the difficult and labor-consuming sectors called by the Party.

Present at the meeting were Kim Chol Sam, chief secretary of the North Hamgyong Provincial Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, officials oconcerned, officials of the youth league and young people. Certificate of petition were conferred on the volunteers and a congratulatory address and speeches were made.

Officials and young people in the province presented bouquets to those volunteers.
