"Go among the people!" This was the lifelong, noble political creed of Kim Il Sung, who regarded it as his motto to believe in the people as in Heaven and applied it to the revolutionary practice.

Saying that the people were always his sincere guardians, grateful benefactors and good teachers, the President had made ceaseless journey of field guidance for the people even under snowy and rainy weather and cold wind.

Whenever he faced knotty problems in the revolution and construction, he went among the people to hear their views and reflected their voices in shaping the Party's lines and policies.

Every part of the country and every detail of its people's life are associated with the traces of devotion and care of the President who, with trust in and love for the people as his inborn disposition, had dedicated himself to their happiness without having even a moment's rest, enduring all sorts of hardships.

His field guidance reached all parts of the country, even a remote mountain village along the lane, the war front under a hail of bullets and the areas along muddy roads and farm fields. Such journey of field guidance continued without letup, even on his birthdays or holidays and Sundays.

Indeed, his was the whole life of the great father who had worked heart and soul to provide the people with the happiest life.
