In his early years the President founded the immortal Juche idea to open up a new era of independence. And he won a brilliant victory in the revolutionary war against the Japanese imperialist aggressors and in the Fatherland Liberation War to repulse the armed invasion by the U.S.-led imperialist allied forces.

The great victories won in the two revolutionary wars served as a historic event that ushered in a new era of surge in the world anti-imperialist national liberation movement.

The flames of the anti-imperialist national liberation struggle flared up in Asia, Africa, Latin America and all other parts of the world and independent states were founded one after another.

He made public many famous works, providing the world progressive people aspiring after independence with correct guidelines for struggle and showing the road ahead of them.

In his policy speech at the joint meeting of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea and the Supreme People's Assembly of the DPRK held in April Juche 71 (1982), he clarified the unique idea and theory on global independence. And he gave clear answers to the theoretical and practical issues arising in accomplishing the cause of independence against imperialism in his famous works such as "The Present Era Is the New Era of History When All Nations Struggle to Achieve Complete Independence" and "The Non-Aligned and Developing Countries Must Build National Cultures under the Banner of Independence and Sovereignty".

He met more than 70,000 foreign figures from 136 countries in his lifetime to accomplish the human cause of independence.

In 1994 alone, the last year of his life, he met a delegation of the Communist Party of Vietnam, a delegation of the National Democratic Congress of Ghana, a delegation of the Workers' Party of Ireland, the president of the Prensa Latina News Agency of Cuba and his party, the general secretary of the World Federation of Trade Unions and other delegations and foreigners and gave precious instructions that would serve as guidelines in advancing the cause of independence of the popular masses and the world revolution.

Indeed, the noble revolutionary career of the peerlessly great man who led the struggle for accomplishing the human cause of independence to victory was the brilliant one of the outstanding leader of the world revolution.
