Noble Life of People's Leader
Pyongyang, July 8 (KCNA) -- The life of President Kim Il Sung was the noble one of the people' leader who regarded it as his motto to believe in the people as in Heaven, applied it to his idea and leadership and translated it into reality.

The President, regarding the people as Heaven, always found himself among them, relied on them and carried on the revolution for them. He invariably maintained his work principle - always place the people's interests above all in thinking and put it into practice in a strenuous manner.

He made a ceaseless journey of field guidance to find himself among the people.

His field guidance witnessed innumerable events associated with his popular leadership.

One day in January Juche 51 (1962) he visited a bean curd factory in Central District of Pyongyang Municipality and inspected the then Pyongyang Children's Knitted Goods Factory, where he spent much time to solve all the problems arising in production and management. Then he went to the then Pyongyang Silk Mill.

At a workshop of the mill, he saw employees working in poor working conditions. Feeling sorry for them, he went outside to select a site for a new mill and indicated the orientation of its construction.

When the President suggested building a nursery and a kindergarten for women workers, as well as a new mill, an official told him about the difficult situation of the country and the heavy expense for construction.

The President said that the cost of construction should be calculated after doing every possible thing for the workers, adding that no expense should be spared for them.

All that day he was on the road of field guidance for the improvement of the people's living.

His whole life was run through with his ardent devotion for the people.

The total length of the journey, covered by the President for field guidance until the last days of his life just after Korea's liberation from the Japanese imperialists' colonial rule, is more than 578,000 kilometers.
